All polygonsThe number of sides is listed on the left and the figure colors correspond to the numbers of sides. Each row consists of a collection of polygons related by transformations in the group of the figure (D6, a dihedral group with 12 elements). That is, each row displays the orbit of a unique shape within the figure. (Note that congruent shapes can occur in different orbits; the simplest example of this appears on the bottom two lines: the star's points are congruent to its central triangles, but they lie on distinct orbits.) The columns correspond to group elements: the first six columns to powers of the six-fold rotation and the next six columns to a reflection followed by the same sequence of rotations.
