Exercise: Communicating About Windows Operations

For clear communication in class we need a common language for describing what appears and happens on the computer monitor.  The purpose of this exercise is to test your familiarity with standard terminology and to provide you an opportunity to learn the terms with which you may be unfamiliar.

Name the parts of the screen above:

The top stripe
Each of the three buttons in the top right corner
The line of words below the top stripe
The rows of tiny pictures
The bottom line
As many other things as possible that you can find within the picture
