Quantitative Decisions applies mathematical and statistical methods to
understand and solve environmental problems. Our clients have included approximately 400 corporations, government
agencies, nonprofit organizations, and attorneys throughout the US and worldwide. QD is owned and operated by William A. Huber,
Ph.D. For a current curriculum vitae in PDF format, please link to CV-pdf.

We offer
services to help you collect, maintain, understand, and exploit scientific
and technical data.
|
Depending
on the business you are in, we work best with you in various ways:
|
Private Sector.
We help you develop and improve strategies for environmental monitoring, site closures, and achieving
environmental compliance. These
situations require data, which you either have or will need to get.
We provide resources to maximize the value of these data in
achieving your goals. See "Taking
risks, Reaping the Benefits" for an example of what this means.
|
Investment and Financial. We estimate the value and financial risk of environmentally
impaired properties. This
information is invaluable for meeting SEC reporting requirements,
assessing insurance premiums, negotiating property transfers, and
computing insurance recoveries. We
provide these services for a fee or as equity partners in a transaction.
|
Consulting.
We team with environmental consultants to enhance your analysis,
presentation, and management of data.
Services include GIS, database management, statistical graphics,
environmental statistics, and experienced in-house training in all of
these.
|
Legal.
We provide experienced and objective experts for litigation support and
testimony, decision analysis for developing strategy, and statistical
graphics and 3D visualizations for communication.
|
Public sector.
Our staff has worked for environmental agencies and provides expert
assistance to agencies and non-profit organizations, often pro bono.
|
We
have a distinguished record of improving environmental
decision-making for private and public sector clients, consultants, and
attorneys. Our skills with
managing and assessing environmental information have helped clients avoid
or win litigation, win negotiations, limit liability, invest wisely, and
save money. Our services have
helped clients develop and improve their strategies for managing
environmental risk and liabilities.
|
Experience,
excellence and innovation in the application of statistical and
graphical techniques separate us from many others attempting to offer
similar services. Practical
experience, especially in all facets of environmental investigation,
remediation, negotiation, and litigation, enables us to find good
solutions quickly and inexpensively.
A continuing investment in computing technology and the ability to
use it well make us unusually efficient and cost-effective.
|
Please
call us to discuss your projects and how QD can assist you to succeed in
your efforts.
