Testimonials

"You created a very powerful, useful tool. ... For me, it allows me to create better, more esthetically pleasing maps than the old [ArcView] color selection."--Dallas Hewett, Airborne Express

"It [ColorRamp] is MUCH BETTER than the seemingly random assignment of colors that AV uses.  It definitely makes the maps easier to produce as well as easier to read!"--Brad Oleson, GIS/OCC Data Coordination Manager, Level(3) Communications, Colorado

"I found this software to be thoroughly amazing.  The maps that it helps produce are beautiful and highly informative." -- Shaun K. McMullin, Retail Location Analysis, Database Marketing, and Geographic Information Technologies, University of Washington, Seattle

"ColorRamp is a really nice tool for Grid-Displaying - even the demo!"--Florian Pfaefflin, IVU Umwelt GmbH, Germany

"We have some data that required a great many colours in the legend and your extension made it very easy to create those legends.  Prior to this it took us several hours.  We found it very easy to use."--Margaret Walton, GIS Coordinator, Royal Botanical Gardens, England

"I never had created a legend so fast and with so much fun before."--Andreas Laudensack, Germany

Description

Color Ramp is an ArcView extension for improving the way you view and map geographic data.  It provides a simple and powerful method to create consistent graduated color scales for your themes.  It lets you

Define entire ranges of colors ("ramps")
Define ramps of colors for themes shown by graduated symbols
Define ramps of arbitrary complexity (puce to fuchsia to heliotrope to mauve, anyone?)
Define ramps independently of the number of classes in a theme
Apply one ramp quickly to many different themes
Save ramps and share them with other ArcView users

Click here for a full-size screen shot of the ColorRamp dialog and here to see an example of an ArcView layout using a simple color ramp.

See the "principles" page for more examples of color ramps and an explanation of what they are and how they can be used.

Availability

A demo version is available from our "free software" links.  The demo limits your selection of end-of-ramp colors, but still goes way beyond normal ArcView capabilities.

Order the full featured version on-line here for $19.95.
